In 2018, Wei was standing on the sidewalk in front of a Little Caeser's at a strip mall in Fremont, CA when a car jumped the curb, struck and drove him through the glass door. According to the police report, the driver was an 80 year old man who hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.  Wei sustained a post-concussion syndrome, broke his leg, which required surgery, and had  lacerations and contusions all over his body. We recovered the driver's policy limit of $600,000 for Mr. Wei.
