Virginia v. CSAA

$350K

Virgnia was a passenger in a car being driven by a friend.  As they approached a driveway gate to the friend's property, the friend asked Virginia to get out of the car and open the gate.  When Virginia stepped out of the car, the friend accidentally drove over Virgnia's foot causing serious injury.

The friend was uninsured and we made a claim against Virginia's own insurance company, the California State Automobile Association (CSAA).   We made this claim under Virgnia's Uninsured Motorists coverage (UM), which protects you if you are injured by an uninsured driver.

This case settled for $350,000.
