tate v. ac transit

$300k

This accident occurred on February 15, 2001.  Ms. Tate uses a motorized scooter and boarded an AC Transit bus.  The bus driver failed to properly secure her scooter as required by AC Transit's own guidelines.  When the bus made a left turn, both the scooter and Ms. Tate took a hard fall.  Ms. Tate tore the rotator cuff in her left shoulder, which required surgical repair.

This case settled for $300,000 in cash right before trial.
