Singh v. Doe defendants

$450K

Mr. Singh was an independent big rig driver and was at a loading facility where trailers are installed onto his tractor bed to be transported.  When the trailer was installed on his tractor, Mr. Singh noticed that one of the corners was not flush with the tractor bed but was approximately 2 inches above the flat surface. Mr. Singh notified the facility of the problem and an employee came out to fix the problem.  While Mr. Singh's thumb was beneath the portion of the trailer that was raised above the surface, the employee took a hammer and hit a component that made the trailer fall on his thumb.  Mr. Singh's thumb was crushed.

This case settled for $450,000.
