Jane Doe v. John Doe

$400k

Jane Doe was a passenger in a car being driven by her wife when she was rear-ended.  Shortly thereafter she developed a very rare condition known as an Acute Macular Neuroretinopathy, which in her case was a small blind spot in her right eye.  Because this condition is so rare, there was a dispute over whether the accident caused this condition.  This case involved four eye specialists all testifying about Jane Doe's condition.

This case settled for $400,000 in cash in December 2023.
