John Doe v. Doe school

$362K

This confidential settlement involved a young boy who was at a school cafeteria.  There was a serving pan full of food that was heated by a lit can of sterno.  When he reached for the food, the food and sterno fell on him and he suffered 2nd degree burns on his torso.

Cases involving minors must be approved by the Court and are a matter of public record.  But the defendant insisted that we keep the identity of the parties confidential, which we have done.

See below the Court's order approving a $362,000 settlement.  At the hearing to approve the settlement, the judge stated that this was a fantastic settlement based on the facts of the case.
